Disclosure: A huge thank you to Camelback Lodge Resort for hosting my family during our stay. All opinions expressed are 100% mine.

Camelback Lodge what a fun place! As everyone in the world knows by now, my daughter just started her college journey at NYU. In fact, we’re just made our way back home after our road trip that ended with dropping her off at college. While we were on the road, we had the opportunity to stay at Camelback Lodge Resort. It was amazing. Camelback Lodge Resort is one of those places that you can’t even believe the beauty. We thoroughly enjoyed every second we were there.

Camelback Lodge – Family Fun for All

We all hear that a resort has something for everything, but with Camelback Resort, that’s absolutely no exaggeration. Camelback Resort truly does have something for every person. From the scenery to the activities, whether you want to relax in the room or get out there and adventure – whatever you want, you can enjoy it at Camelback.

Let’s start from the beginning. Camelback Resort is nestled in the Pocono mountains at Tannersville, Pennsylvania. Although it’s secluded, it’s still easily accessible, being only minutes away from I-80 and I-380.

As we got off the interstate and made our way towards the resort via a smaller road, the beauty was readily apparent. From the trees to the countryside, to the mountains, majestic beauty is the first thing to greet you. It’s a picture-perfect postcard, and that’s no exaggeration.

The rolling foothills are covered with gorgeous trees, and all of that rolling, undulating beauty leads straight into some amazingly beautiful mountainside scenery. Postcard quality. For real!

Camelback Resort takes advantage of the terrain and the climate to bring you great skiing. The rolling mountainside, ample snowfall, and wonderful accommodations make it a premier skiing stop for the eastern United States. Camelback proves that you don’t have to travel several states cross country just to ski!

Water Parks

This is one of the things that makes Camelback Resort so exclusive! Not only can you ski in the winter, but you can also play in the water as well! Camelback Resort has two water parks.

Camelbeach is an outdoor water park allowing you to have watery fun in the sun. At this outdoor water park, you can enjoy the water fun as well as the view.

They have my favorite – a lazy river, as well as a wave beach, a flow rider, pools, picnic areas, restaurants, and more! Camelbeach is nestled next to the ski slopes for beautiful views of the mountainside, and they provide the coolest shuttle access to the park!

And when the weather gets cool – or downright cold – you can still have a wonderful watery time at Aquatopia, their huge indoor water park.

Both parks feature a variety of great slides, water play, and a family-friendly atmosphere that can’t be beaten, and this year, Aquatopia was voted as the number one indoor water park by 10best.com!

It has all of the amenities you’d expect from a huge water park, and it has them all in the comfort of indoors. So you can throw on your swimsuit even when there’s snow on the slopes.

Explore the Mountain

This is one of my favorite parts of Camelback Resort because I just love the terrain so much. The resort has ziplining, a mountain coaster, mountain Segways, and a TreeTop Adventure Course. We’re absolutely head over heels for mountain views. I mean, if I never did anything else, but sit and take in the mountains, I’d be a happy girl!

Fun, Fun, Fun

In addition to the skiing and water parks, Camelback Resort is filled with FUN, great kid-friendly activities to keep the youngsters super happy. A huge arcade and even a kids’ spa included in this resort! That is the coolest for some great mommy-daughter pampering time.

Let’s not forget the accommodations! Camelback Lodge & Indoor Waterpark rooms and suites are so cozy, beautiful, comfy, and inviting, designed in mountain-modern architecture.

Choose from either their 453 deluxe guest suites (which include a fireplace and balcony), rooms with bunk beds and loft space suite styles that include the double queen sofa Suite, 1 Bedroom Suite, o the 2 Bedroom Suite!

All of the fun you can have in a day can’t make up for a room that isn’t well-appointed. Camelback Resort got the memo on that one.

After a long day of playing at the water park or taking in the mountains, you can crash in a room that’s like falling into a sleepy time oasis of soft, cozy, comfort. Take my word for it, they are the coziest! And you cannot beat those mountain views! Ahhh.

Camelback Resort – It’s Heaven in the Mountains

Camelback Resort was a short stay for us this time around. Because of the timetable, we were only able to stay for one day and one night before heading on to Marilu’s college, but I can say with absolute certainty that we’ll be coming back again! We’re thinking the winter, and we’re thinking MORE days! That way, we can enjoy the indoor surf, the outdoor skiing, and all of the comfort that Camelback Resort has to offer!
