Fresh fruit is something I always look for whenever possible. I love its flavor and texture, and there are so many recipes that fruit works well in. Don’t think that just because winter is on the way that fresh fruit is over. You can still find fresh fruit at the grocery store, and I have 10 recipe ideas perfect for the fruit during the winter.

Carambola, or star fruit, or Birambi is the fruit of Averrhoa carambola, a species of tree native to tropical Southeast Asia. The fruit is commonly consumed throughout Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, Micronesia, parts of East Asia, and the Caribbean. The tree is cultivated throughout tropical areas. Their colorful and unique shape catches my eye, but, I never thought of using them in any recipe. To me, they have always looked too exotic to be put into a recipe.

started with the crunch factor. I knew that nuts were allowed in a clean eating diet so I went to my cupboard to look for some. I had a bag of cashews and thought they would add a bit of texture and a hint of salt to the salad. Then I looked in the fruit bowl and saw both blood oranges and apples. I thought these would add great color and flavor to the salad. I finished the salad by looking in my veggie drawer and taking out a bell pepper and an onion.

I am really obsessed with making homemade non-alcoholic drinks. Because this is my most favorite and preferred way of eating and enjoying fruits.
