There’s just so much to enjoy in Branson, MO. From attractions to events and everything in between, I’m sure you can tell that I simply love visiting Branson. If you’re looking for a fabulous vacation in the Ozarks, then I highly recommend you check out all of the dining, entertainment and hotel options in Branson as a means to travel there for a family vacation or couples retreat. Today I’m featuring one of my favorite attractions in Branson, Dolly Parton’s Stampede.
I’ll be honest, Dolly Parton’s Stampede is great any time of year but it goes beyond great during the months of November and December. Dolly Parton’s Christmas Stampede includes a little more festivities in between and holiday cheer.
You’ll enjoy the southern hospitality that Dolly Parton’s Stampede is known for in addition to some joyful and festive additions for the Christmas season. Part of the traditional attraction is a fight between the North and the South, but during November and December, you’ll witness a fight between the South Pole and the North Pole.
The pre-show is a sing-along caroling experience. You cannot help but tap your feet, clap your hands and sing along the Dolly Parton’s Christmas Stampeded pre-show event where they get up on stage and woe you with a little Ozark mountain music and some Christmas carols in between.
With every dinner show, you’ll experience the voice of Dolly Parton whose narrative helps set the tone and pace of the dinner show. In November and December, Dolly Parton includes a little story of what Christmas was like when she was a little child. This is truly a magical touch for the show.
You can’t help but feel like a kid again when your serves become Santa’s Helpers during Dolly Parton’s Stampede at Christmas time. You’ll enjoy how much work Santa’s Helpers put into ensuring your meal is fully enjoyed and your drink is never empty.
Speaking of Dolly Parton’s Stampede Meal
Now that I’m thinking about the dinner at this amazing attraction, I figured I better share a little information. Let’s just say you won’t leave hungry. The meal includes a whole rotisserie chicken and hickory smoked barbecued pork tenderloin with corn on the cob, a homemade biscuit and more!
Red or Green Riders
The festivities begin as the riders wear red or green and march around with amazing stunts, beautiful horses and fabulous entertainment to include a ring of fire stunt during your dinner and a show experience at Dolly Parton’s Christmas Stampede.
Another unique addition to this attraction in Branson is that you’ll experience Santa’s workshop falling from the sky into the arena. There are Sugar Plum Fairies dancing around to the beloved excerpts of songs from The Nutcracker. It’s simply magical!
Every great show needs to have a little comic relief in the middle, right?! Well, that’s just what you get with Skeeter’s skit. Skeeter is hilarious and doesn’t disappoint with his skit that has him getting into trouble everywhere he goes.
Ice Rink for Two
Oh yes, you read that correctly. During Dolly Parton’s Stampede show in November and December, you’ll experience real ice skaters on a small ice rink that is fit for two. This rink falls down from the ceiling to provide you with an amazing show to festive songs like Carol of the Bells.
Lastly, what Christmas time show in the Ozarks would be completed without a Nativity Show?! Mary, Joseph, and the Baby Jesus descend from the ceiling where you’ll experience the Wise Men, shepherds and live animals for a real-life Nativity scene experience. There’s nothing quite like this amazing experience that reminds you of how much The Reason for the Season matters to the Branson community.
If you’re thinking about a trip to Branson, MO then I highly recommend you go see Dolly Parton’s Stampede for yourself. My photos and description don’t do it enough justice!
