Disclosure: I received free tickets to Ripley’s Believe It or Not, to facilitate this review. All the opinions are 100% my own.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not is one attraction in Orlando you won’t want to miss. Of course, everyone knows about the major theme parks of the area, but there’s so much more to see than princesses and movie rides – even though they’re great, too. At Ripley’s Believe It or Not, families can experience oddities and curiosities of the world that can’t be found anywhere else.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not – Curiously Cool

Taking advantage that my daughter was home from college on winter break, we visited Ripley’s just to do something different, along with some great friends. It was amazing and incredible! If you remember watching the show at all, you know that Ripley’s is all about the amazing, out there, super weird stuff that can be found all over the globe, and that’s exactly what we found.

One of the best things about the place is how easy it is to get to. Some of the more unique places in Orlando can be a touch difficult to get to, but that’s not the case with Ripley’s. It’s in the heart of it all at International Drive right next to The Eye, which makes it easy to get to. Another great thing about Ripley’s Believe It or Not is that it’s a refreshing change from the standard theme park fare that we all think of when we think of Orlando. You really see some out of his world stuff!

Ripley’s Believe It or Not is Unbelievable

Of course, you can go to Orlando and see princesses and giant robots, but hasn’t EVERYONE seen those things? What if you went to Orlando and saw shrunken human heads and all types of skeletons? What if you saw an authentic vampire killing kit? When you visit Ripley’s, that’s what you’ll find. In fact, the building called the ODDitorium is UNIQUE! Its facade looks like it’s sinking.

In the museum, you will find photos and videos of Mr. Ripley’s greatest collections like the 3 legged man, the fattest man in the world, Portrait of Mona Lisa made of toast, Abraham Lincoln’s portrait made of pennies and so much more. You’ll find 10,000 square feet and 600 exhibits and artifacts featuring all manner of weirdness. And weird is good! It’s an exciting adventure like you’ve never had before.

Our group spent hours touring the Ripley’s Believe It or Not building, and everywhere we turned, there was something new and intriguing. It was one of the best trips we’ve ever been on, and we’re looking forward to going back the next time Marilu comes down from college.
