Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort Took Me Back in Time!

My recent visit to Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort really took Me Back in Time. Even though I wasn’t around in the 1950s, when my brothers and I were younger, my parents would remind us of their passion for that era. How the United States emerged as a victorious nation from the second World War and how children would play freely and ride their bikes outside in the neighborhood!

Recently I was invited to attend a Latina Bloggers VIP press trip to tour Universal Orlando Resort theme parks. My family’s two night, three day, stay at the new Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort was spectacular! The resort is beautiful. When you drive up to the entrance, you go back in time to the 50s and 60s; complete with antique cars, classic signage, and a retro design. Throughout my stay, all these memories came alive and I went back in time; now it was my turn to narrate that story to my daughter. I realized how much they really tried to keep the classic ’50s look while incorporating the modern conveniences we appreciate today.

With a hotel this grand, who would want to leave to visit anywhere else? This on-site Universal resort is HUGE! They offered eighteen hundred rooms! Rooms are moderate – value-priced, providing guests with their choice of family suites with kitchenettes or hotel standard. My family was able to enjoy a Tower Family Suite, poolside! From there, we had a view of everything! This is indeed a Family Friendly hotel!

Take in the sunshine along with a picturesque view of the lush foliage surrounding the expansive pool area that leads to the lazy river from these interior suites. The tropical landscaping makes a scenic backdrop to the quirky, fun design of your room. Like the other Tower Suites, these retro rooms boast colorful décor, sleeping accommodations for six, two flat-screen TVs, a kitchenette area, and a sliding partition for privacy. The extra-large bathroom features preparation spaces for three people at once, so everyone can get to the park early.)

One of the many perks of staying at Cabana Bay is being so close to Universal theme parks and having free transportation to and from!  The morning started by meeting at the Starbucks inside the hotel at 645 am, ready to head out to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Diagon Alley, YES! To my surprise, the park was already filled with people ready to hit the park – EACH MORNING!

During our final evening, we enjoyed dinner as a group at the Cabana Courtyard. Delicious pizza, salad, and desserts! It was perfect weather; nice Florida breeze, a gorgeous view of one of the other pools, surrounded by the other buildings. It’s hard to say what we loved more. At the Galaxy Bowl Marilu didn’t want to leave the ten-lane, full-service bowling ally. I felt as though all we needed was our own poodle skirts and neck scarves to complete the look of everything around me. (Really, the guest should be able to look as good as the resort does.)

The Universal Cabana Bay Resort in Orlando is an amazing place. I love the growing trend with the resorts in Orlando offering their patrons the option to simply enjoy the resort, or enjoy the parks too. Having a kitchenette in your room also helps keep the costs down during your family vacation. With reasonable prices, resort luxuries and amenities, and suite features, Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort is the perfect place to spend your affordable Florida vacation!

There is so much more to say, but I will stop here and let you explore this fabulous Family Friendly resort all on your own! For reservations call 1-888-464-3617 or visit their site, follow on Facebook!
