Who doesn’t love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! It’s a wonderful time for friends and family right? Did you know that the Cinco de Mayo annual celebration held on May 5 was first observed at Los Angeles, California, in 1863? Just one year after the Battle of Puebla. The day commemorates the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862. Thanks to that, we get to celebrate with delicious food and even though I’m not Mexican I love celebrating Cinco de Mayo!
