I love cruises. Any type of cruises. When I heard we would be sailing on the Showboat Branson Belle during our press trip to Branson, I was jumping up and down!
Showboat Branson Belle is a riverboat, well more specifically, a showboat that docks on Table Rock Lake. Themed after the majestic showboats of the 1800s. It hosts two-hour lunch and dinner shows all year long. She’s absolutely beautiful!
As you stroll the ship’s four decks, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the lush Ozark Mountains — beautiful at any time of the year. With an intermission between the meal and the 2d part of the show, we get to sit back, relax and take in the scenic views. Enjoy the comfy Adirondack chairs, or stroll along one of the decks or simply enjoy looking through the window from your table, the gorgeous scenery of the Ozarks from one of the most unique vantage points in Branson.
It was a cold day and a bit rainy so I did not get to take full advantage of being outside on the deck. I am assuming that during the warmer days, it would gorgeous on the lake. It felt good to be inside! It is a little walk from the parking lot to the landing and then to the boat. They have wheelchairs available if needed. Once inside, you walk into the most beautifully decorated breathtaking staircase. Our seats were on the second floor, near the stage which honestly was a better viewing of the show. It was a smooth sailing.
The 3-course meal and the entertainment were EXCELLENT! We had marinated chicken, shredded beef roast, green beans, a dinner roll, salad with some kind of sweet dressing and raspberry cheesecake. We also had tea, coffee, and soda.
The show cast including, a magician, musicians, singers, and dancers. All very talented! The Christmas songs and the medleys, the wardrobe fitting the season. The interaction with the audience was great. They chose some folks to participate in the show; that was fun! I’m a sucker of old ’70s, 80’s music; loved all the nostalgic music. My favorite was the 25 songs in 9 minutes performance! The host was amazing making our night memorable and fun.
Before and after your cruise, you can enjoy the scenery and shop at the ship’s dock, White River Landing.
Had an amazing time on this dinner cruise. The food and entertainment were great. Will definitely return! Lots of fun! Also, one helpful tip: it is a little walk from the parking lot to the landing and then to the boat. They do have some wheelchairs available if needed for anyone in your group.
A Fun Fact! The Showboat Branson Belle was launched from her lakeside shipyard August 13, 1994, using two tons of bananas as a lubricant for the nine-second slide into the water. She traveled 14 mph during the launch, faster than she’ll ever travel on water. Cool!
