Disclosure:  I’ve been invited by Westgate Resorts to stay at their Orlando resort to facilitate and share my experience.  Most expenses were covered by Westgate Resorts, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Whether you live near Orlando or are planning to visit, I highly recommend the Westgate Resort & Spa, for your top choice of family-friendly accommodations.

Spending the weekend at this resort in Orlando, was a truly unforgettable moment!

Not only were we greeted and welcomed like royalty, but these folks really take pride in creating the ultimate vacation dream.

The Westgate Resort & Spa in Orlando has so many varieties of amenities and activities, that you may not want to leave the resort. We had a fabulous staycation and it was a ton of fun.

They have their own market making it so easy to shop for your groceries! The award-winning BBQ at Westgate Smokehouse Grill Restaurant is a  must go! Worth stopping by to have dinner and/or breakfast (like we did!) and they are also opened to the public!

Or grab a snack at Joe’s Marketplace & Deli or order pizza from Cordovano Joe’s Authentic New York Style Pizza. They also offer Catering and Room Service!

Westgate Resort & Spa – 130 Acres!

The resort sits on 130 acres offering (7) seven pools and hot tubs, for those visiting during the colder days in Orlando. We even got to kayak at the resort!

You’re reading that right; we kayaked right there as they have their own lake, it was amazing! The kayaking was challenging but a ton of fun, I’m not sure we made it to all seven pools but I know some of us tried to.

Between the lush and well-kept gardens, the restaurant, the kayaking they have so much to do.

Kids Activities at the Westgate Kid’s Club

There were so many kids activities provided by the Kid’s Club! These are supervised programs for children ages 2-12. Features board games, video games, arts and crafts.

One of the favorites was the Big Stuff-N-Fluff Workshop, Build your own stuffed animal. Choose your bear, stuff it, and then dress it up! So adorable!  You even receive a Birth certificate for your bear friend! You can imagine how much they loved that!

Getting around the resort is easy. Make sure to bring casual clothing and don’t be afraid to grab a scooter, a ride in one of the many golf carts, or the shuttle to get around the resort. Always something going on SOMEWHERE in the resort especially water activities!

Another great feature about the resort is the convenience of getting to the theme parks. The resort offers its guests, shuttle service to Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, and Sea World Orlando, as well as our favorite Orlando Premium Outlets.

Reservation is required as space is limited. We visited Downtown Disney on Saturday night via the shuttle and it was great: No driving, No parking, No parking fees, NO HASSLES!

Downtown Disney night was full of lots of fun, walking and visiting the Disney stores, Lego, Ice cream shops, eating……! Lots of great restaurants to choose from, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Puck, Ghirardelli, Splitsville and so many more! We chose Gloria Estefan’s restaurant: Bongo’s!

Relax at the Serenity Spa

The Serenity Spa at the resort offers an awe-mazing menu of rejuvenating treatments and services.

I wish I would have the time to get a body wraps! Plus the Fitness Center is right next to it with top of the line machines, a smoothie bar, and a gorgeous terrace to enjoy your smoothie!

Our oversized luxurious 2-bedroom Villa was the perfect place to relax, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the gorgeous lakefront lush tropical paradise!

They also have studio suites and one-bedroom suites for smaller families. Our Villa had 2 bathrooms, a washer, and dryer as well, with a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, excellent condition furnishings, and all the extras!

1200 sq ft and up to 8 guests can be accommodated into this villa! The master bedroom king size bed was super comfortable and inviting and the jacuzzi? Oh my, that was out of this world!

The second bedroom comes with two double beds and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and of course where I had my coffee every morning, private balcony! A huge family room adjacent to the kitchen.
